Tom if you run a cooling system keep it small and simple.
I run an iron 462 on alchohol with no coolant.  I drive the FED to the line make a pass and then run back to my pit. In hot weather I have run a fan but rarely.   I would think a small cooling system would be plenty.

Thankfully my wife is my #1 crew and co crew chief.  She is the fuel person and sets final tune on the car. She is always there. Only one time she wasn't (business in another state) I almost crashed the car due to tire shake at a test and tune event. I wanted to try something with the fuel issue we had been dealing with. I dropped 0.1 in the 60ft to a new 1.01 60ft. Glad I'm able to do my belts as that is how I was able to maintain control.  The number 1 reason for most FED teams to be a 2 person minimum is the belts/safety......

I soften the max tune and run 7.80 to 7.81 at 179 -181.
Car has run a best NA 7.21 at 192mph.
462 iron Buick block with aluminium head set up by Al Dixon injected alky. 1.01 60 ft
I have won and run as runner up many times I even went to the finals in an open class 10.99 and quicker 11 rounds to get to the finals.  It is possible very possible you just need to know your car.

Same on the thread lock up.....
I only have the one kill switch on the upper left dash in cockpit. Never had an issue with tech, except one young guy saying it had to be at the rear of the car and reachable from outside.  I asked him to define rear of car. He said he considered that to be behind the rear wheels. He realized what he said and the fact he was standing behind the left wheel and could easily reach the controls. He then said have a good day racing

I use a "Flaming River" master switch in the cockpit on the left dash, none behind me. Works great. I have a 2 gauge double shielded positive cable to that switch. My switch employs a mag kill switch also. I can take a shot of it if needed.

At the finish line my car,  just ahead of the rear tire, is about 6 inches off the ground. So tire growth would be 4 to 6 inches anyway.  How does that change your numbers?

I did not preload my frame. Set engine to motor plate and made sure there was no distortion on the motor plate. Think balanced here. Measure for front mounts and tack together.  Before final finish on front mounts set trans in place with complete driveline in place to make sure of alignment.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the info,  I'll check out the rings to see how they compare to what I have. If needed I may try them out.
