Hi Dan,
My glide is a stock case glide with upgraded internals, my question is it has the stock plastic type vent cap, I see a lot of racers have a line in this location hooked to a tank? should I go with that setup?
Thanks,
John

To the best of my knowledge NHRA is now requiring vents be ran to a catch can. The vent hole in the case is the right size to be tapped 1/8pipe. Most just use brass fittings and 1/4 plastic air line to do the vent to can process.
Hope this helps, Dan

Dan, can that be tapped with the tranny assembled or do you need to gut the case?

Put grease on the tap and them use a vacuum on the hole to suck out anything left behind and you should be good!

That method worked like a charm, used Q-tip with alcohol and it cleaned up very nice...great advice.

What is the easiest, best way to remove stock unit from case? I want to try to do this with tranny in dragster.

If its a plastic one, a pair of pliers and a little wiggling will get it out. If its a metal one you may need vise grips and as they can be a little tougher to remove. Just remember your working with a 40 yo casting.

Dan, mine was plastic, less than 10 seconds with a screwdriver and its out. Got breather tank ordered from Good Vibrations, be here next week, problem solved. Thanks for your help. Scott
