You would have to have something wrong with the tank venting for it to push fuel up into the engine.

Sounds like the fuel is bleeding back to the tank and takes a while to fill the lines.
I think theres a check valve you can put at the tank outlet that would leave most of the system full.
As far as aerated nozzles or not. Solid bodies in a blower manifold. Aerated in the hat and for normally aspirated. It shouldnt make a difference for starting but once running solid bodies in the hat or manifold will allow vacuum to draw fuel into the engine making tuning difficult. If you have aerated in a blower manifold you will have boost leaking out of the holes.

When I bracket raced mine it had a hand brake.
I think a brake pedal would have been a little easier for working the finish line.

The only thing I can think of is heat in the cockpit.
After a time trial or two right around third round everything is hot.
I was glad to have my fire suit between me and the heat.
It never stopped me though just reality.

Does the bead seem to hold above 25 #s?
You may have a mynute leak in the tread or side wall that lets the bead leak at 25.
A could try a tube but they can be near impossible to put in a front tire.
If you do go with tube you should run your fingers around inside tire to make sure theres nothing to poke into it.

A 60 to 56 isn't a lot of change. Just wondering what the weather was like with the new jet compared to the old.
Also did the jet change clear up the miss? If not did you check valve springs or Mag?

I don't know about your local track but at the DIV III e.t. Finals the tech guys checked for those straps and BOUNCED my buddy for not having them. (Last year they also bounced me for not having sheetmetal flooring over my trans. It was back home and I had to ask a team member to relay it down to me or they would not let me race.) At our local track they let the "regulars" slide on these points. But the rulebook clearly states the requirement for (both).
I know what I would do. Either put a stock pan back on (in conjunction with a trans cooler if you do not already have one) - or - make new, longer straps from the same material as original [1/8 galvanized metal strap 1" wide]. Technically, that's verboten but if they were equivalent to the originals it would take a pretty hard-hearted tech guy not to let you race it.
If you had a -15 suit I'm pretty sure he should have let you race without the transmission covered. With cover you are allowed a -5 suit. IHRA allows -5 with or without the trans covered.

Assuming you have a T where the 10 reduces to the 2 6s.
How about drilling and tapping the side of the T for your -4 line.

If it uses a coupler I wouldn't think its a problem. If it has a driveshaft you might consider a mount.

Milan (MI) includes a Nostalgia Comp Eliminator class at three of their vintage oriented races each year - the Detroit Dragway Reunion, Kickin' It Old School, and Nostalgia Drags. It is a 4/10 Pro Tree Index based (1/2 second increments). Declare an Index and qualify off that index - closest to the number qualifies #1 on the laddered pairing. Higher qualifier has lane choice.

Usually its race two days, two separate races, two qualifying runs and eliminations each day. Payout and entry fee is the same for each day. Entry fee is $50. Winner gets $500, runner up $250, semis $100. Guaranteed purse.
I know some are going to say,"Heck, I won't even take my car out of the trailer to run for only $500!"
We usually only get eight cars. If you do the math you'll see the track loses money on this eliminator. But it enhances the overall quality of the meet and they're good with that. And if I win first round I actually make money.

I keep my older "The Last Logghe" altered tuned up just for these races and usually run the 10.50 index and as such, am always the slowest car there. [ I rebuilt the car several years back to slow it down so I don't have to jump thru the NHRA 9.99 chassis re-cert hoops for a car that only gets raced a few times a year.]

For FEDs and center steered altereds and funnys. Its usually about 50/50 FEDs/ altereds. Trans brakes are OK (hey, if you need a trans brake for a 4/10 tree knock yourself out, buddy). The track tries to make it an all-inclusive bracket without allowing modern Super Comp and Super Gas cars to play.

Its some of the funnest racing I do. None of us take ourselves too seriously. Its a good group. And when a fan came up to me and said when I ran a 7.50 AA/A the fans were on their feet and it was the best race of the day, I felt good. (I won that round LOL).
If I showed up with an IHRA license and chassis cert do you think they would let me race?

That is a serious right turn there. Mine don't seem to be turning any, but then the car goes right with them on or off the ground. Hoping to go out one more time in a couple weeks and see if I can et it any better. It is at least to the point of being predictable, now I just need to keep it from pushing right. I picked up just over .2 with the timing change, I don't really want to go back with it...lol
Mine would drive right all the way through first gear then settle down after the shift. Figured it out when I noticed both front tires were feathered the same way. I should have figured it out with how much I was steering it left to 300 feet or so. Probably needed another 20 or so pounds up front.
