Matt Shaff's Engine Shop / lifter clearance

What is an acceptable lifter bore clearance for roller lifters in an iron block? If it matters it is a big block Chrysler. Have one that is .003" and feel that is a little too much. Thanks.

Front Engine Dragsters / transmission mount

Is it bad to have tailshaft of trans solid mounted to frame on a fed? I have read all about no mount to must have some cushion in the mount. The FED I help out with has never had mount bolts in it, just sits on cross member. Last time out it wiped out the tail shaft bushing. If mount is bolted up everything lines up perfect and coupler slides back and forth smoothly. Would it be a bad idea to bolt it down? I have pics and will down size them and up load them soon.

Spud Miller's Cave / Injectorator

Anyone with experience or know about bill mitchell Injectorators? been playing with one and not quite to the sweet spot yet. Is on a 560 bbc. 500 pump. 56 or 65 gph nozzles. Troubles with 60' times. Can get right with either nozzles but 60' sucks. Appears to be fat low and good above 6500 rpm. Is an alky system. No data system on engine. And yes first post. thanks for a great fed site.
