Title: Goodyear D2585 Question

Does anyone have the "bubble" dimension using a 12" rim on a D2585?  I'm trying to determine correct back-spacing for new wheels. Looking for dimension from edge of rim to outside of slick...any info is appreciated. thanks

If you can wait a couple of days I am mounting a set of them up. If it helps my rims are 3 1/2 backspace and my axle flange is 7 1/2 away from the frame . With that set up I had plenty of room with that tire .

On our 12" wide wheels with 6 lbs of pressure my D2585's have 1 1/2" from the rim edge to the sidewall.
The less tire pressure the more the sidewall "bubbles", less tire growth. With only a couple pounds of pressure my tires where at 2 1/4"
We make about 900 hp with our Heritage Jr Fueler, and need the 12" rim because with the 11" rim it would get loose at about half track. We ran 10" rim for about 8 years, which gave us more tire growth, ie less RPM at the finish.  Are you sure you need a 12" rim ?

Jon, not sure I need a 12", was thinking it might be a btter way to go in case of marginal track condition.  My engine is carburated and makes 805 HP at 7400, with 1.76 glide, and 4.22 R&P.  Should I go with 10"?
