Title: Radial vs Bias
Post by: BK on September 28, 2017, 01:35:49 PM
Is there a reason we don't run radial slicks on dragsters and altereds?
Or do we run bias ply because that's what we have always run?

what I've learned is radials work good with rear suspension, I know some FED have tried them with no success, on some recommendations from door cars.
Maybe the closests on how radials work is the 10.5 M/T, very stiff sidewalls.

If you decide to try radials, let us know how they work on solid mounted rear-ends.

BK We ran them on a bodied car in Comp C/EA and they were fast as long as the track was very good ! Radials run a lot of tire pressure like 13 lbs and are nit forgiving at all ! You spin and you are done
