Might need 2 lbs on nose of that one. Now you see why Im building 225" with motor 51" out and fuel tanks and battery are on the nose. I'll move stuff back after some testing.I guess stupid me but seems easier to drive if thos round things up front touch the ground.

I asked how much wheelie bar I would need talking to Virgil Hartman? His reply was "Only candyasses have wheelie bars". I guess that makes me a candyass.
That was cool though.

A wheelie bar has become a very important part of an FED . I would never even think about leaving mine off although it is tempting to loose the weight of the bar .
-
I did that ONCE, left the wheelie bar off because I didn't seem to need it, the front went way up just like that, and I didn't get it back down without some front wheel damage. Wheelie bars back on thereafter. I'm in the process of fabricating a new single-wheel bar, 5 feet out.

Looks like the first night out with my FED. Only difference I had short wheelie bars and daylight under the back tires.

There was enough syress just getting it to the track no one was thinking camera. As we were loading up a guy comes by says that was the best show hes seen in a long time and hands me a hundred bucks.

A friend of mine forgot his wheelie bar at home one time and thought no big deal, the resulting wheelie and return to earth cost him both front wheels, an axle, and the motorplate cut the frame in half (both bottom tubes), he still made it all the way down the track but that was the end of the night.
