The 4th Race in the NDRL - IAM Championship Series, titled
"The Briggs and Stratton Hot August Nights",
will be held at Rt 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL, as part of the
 Hollywood Casino Rt 66 Classic.

Track Address for your GPS

3200 South Chicago Street, Joliet, IL 60433

 Track Phone Number 815-722-5500

I have discussed details of the event with track management and here is the information available as of late this morning. Please remember that as events unfold some details may change, but this is the best information that I have to date:

Please See the map that Glenn posted, or click the link.

1. NDRL racers may move in on Friday evening between 5 pm and 9 pm at Gate 12 on the north side of the track (on SCHWEITZER ROAD).

2. Any racers showing up after 9 pm on Friday night will enter Gate 13 and be staged in the facility along the General Parking Road. If there is an overload of vehicles the balance will park along Schweitzer Rd). On Saturday morning, those racers will be able to pay the gate fee, as they are moved directly into the pit area around (8 am to 9 am).

3. After 9 am on Saturday, all racers arriving at the track will enter the pits through gate 11, on IL Rt 53 (Historic Rt 66, or Chicago Street in Joliet). This entrance is on the southwest side of the track.

4. NDRL qualifying will start around 12 pm (noon), as we will follow the Midwest Top Sportsman group. A run order will be coming from the track shortly.

5. NDRL Eliminations will start around 3:30 pm and if necessary, we will race till 10:30 pm by local ordinance. They expect that NDRL Semi Finals will begin at 7 pm following the Opening Ceremonies.

6. In the event of rain, we have an agreement that Sunday is a backup date to finish the race.

7. NDRL racers are welcome to stay over night on Saturday, with the understanding that Sunday is a regular scheduled Bracket Race, and they may stay to participate, or vacate the pits in the morning (between 9 am and 10 am), to allow local racers access to pit space.

8. The Top Sportsmen will have the first two rows of pit space along the staging lanes on the south side of the grand stands. The NDRL will be able to pit in the balance of the Pit Midway. The car show will be directly east of the Pit Midway. The pits and the show area are completely paved and extend all the way down to the shut down area. There should be no problem finding a nice pit area.

9. No pre-registration. The track will charge each person $20.00 at the gate, then a racer pays $80.00 at the tech shack for a run card. Total race entry is equivalent to $100.00, normal entry fee for an NDRL event.

10. The NDRL will be making payouts after the race is complete
