Drag Racing / Tough Comp field at Englishtown

Just got home from Englishtown .We ran .59 under our index and that put us 23'd in a 32 car field ! We lost to Scotty Richardson in the first round in a very close race we went .59 under again but he was .62 under . Nothing to feel bad about just a great weekend with a lot of good friends . How about Brian Darcy again Quickest pass ever for an A/ND 6.76 !

I was just checking a spare set of wheels that I have and the runout is around .070 . Is this ok ?

Nice story here ! Scott Hall son of TAD racer Dale Hall has taken his dads old small block that he ran in TAD freshened it up and re did the fuel system . Scott put it in his RED Top Dragster with a power glide . This past weekend they ran a 6.29 at 215 ! Not bad for a motor that was built over 20 years ago !

I have been using a 12 inch rim with my 12 inch tires but I have a set of 10 inch rims that are super light . Just wondering if any one else has any experience with this ? The tires are the Goodyear 2585's Thanks Bill

Got a phone call from a friend this morning to tell me that Jim Pusglove had passed away last night . Jim worked for NHRA as a tech inspector for the last 5 or 6 years . Prior to that he raced in comp eliminator.Jim was one of those guy's who was always smiling and just happy to be at the race track .I will miss him a lot R.IP. Jimmy He would always dress like Santa at the Dutch Classic

Matt Shaff's Engine Shop / Seat Pressure

Thinking about this today and wondering what your opinion's are . Do you think too much seat pressure can rob horsepower ? I run a lot of seat pressure 410 lbs but I also run the motor to 9400 rpm. Any thought's?

Heading down to Maple Grove Thursday for the Dutch Classic . I will be doing double duty as a crew member for my son BJ with his Top Dragster AND Bill Griffin with his comp car .
