Hi guys and gals
I need to purchase a -15 suit and haven't decided on a 1 or 2 pc suit. What do you use? 1 pc like coveralls or 2 pc as jacket and pants.
Any reason why?
I did a site search and Google one and nothing conclusive.
Thanks Barry.

I like 2 piece I may have a 20 with 2015 date for sale depending on my budget for the rebuild

I have a one piece if I had to do it again I would go two
Biondo is the place to shop--They have dozens in stock and very professional service
I got Sparco X Lite and really like it far as quality etc

always had 2 piece.First a one piece would seem to be to confining for me..i also like being able to just pull on jacket when ready to jump in seat and not having to wear full suit till then.

I did my license runs using a borrowed one piece as I did not want to spend the $$$ for a -20 suit until I knew that I could drive a fuel car. I now have a two piece and I think I prefer the one piece. Keeping the jacket from riding up when getting in to the car is an issue with the two piece and I like the "totally sealed up" feel of the one piece. Being able to take the jacket off is a plus but in summer walking around wearing -20 pants is not real comfortable (at least here in humidity land) so I usually get out of the suit between runs anyway. The two piece does have the advantage of adding an extra layer of protection over your "male equipment" (to quote my mate Tony Bartone) and in a fuel car that is not a bad idea. :)

I'm 240 lbs - its hard to get a decent suit in Europe for my size. And we don't have any 2 piece suits, so got 1 PC. 2PC must be more comfy for sure. You take the jacket off and just walk around, without a dead carcass tied to your waist with 1PC ;)

Hmmmm. Thanks guys. still undecided.

See if you can borrow both and try them out getting into your car, Cars are different and what works for one person might not work for the other. Having both, I found that with a one piece that I always needed someone to pull the suit off my shoulders to get out of it whereas a 2-piece is was not so bad

I have a pair of insulated coveralls. Ill try that on lol.
-
Two piece for sure and more so,when it gets hot. I used one piece when I dirt raced, but then changed and much better. If you work on car suit will get dirty,so at least you can take the top off.
-
then you only have to replace one piece and not the whole thing.

I've had both. i really prefer 2 piece. Roo mentions the jacket riding up, yup, my last thing before i slide in, is to pull my jacket down over my butt. i do it also to prevent bunching at my shoulders. I wear my pants to the lanes when we get called. helmet on, jacket on, hans on, get in. :) simple

Have to say again Biondo is the best place to get a -15 or -20 suit They stock lots of suits--service is professional and top quality--NHRA members get additional discount
Love my Sparco brand as far as quality and weight
Try Biondo you will be pleased

I'd also recommend a -20 suit, not a -15. prices are usually very similar.

Two piece as it gets hot and easier to work with top off. I have Sparco with arm restraints, love it.

Two piece for me.
One of our NDRL racers has a two piece and the jacket has a tail...sorta like a tux but not as long. Basically the back half of the jacket is 5-6 inches longer to keep him covered up once he is seated.

Hey Fedders, I bought the profox 2 pc. set as they had the large blue jacket in stock now. it fits better than my 1 pc. insulated coveralls I used for fit-up! think Canada and -25c to work outside lol there fairly thick.
