Title: Engine mount
Post by: JeffV8 on September 01, 2015, 01:44:50 PM
Should I mount my 331 hemi with solid mounts or use a rubber mount like the speedway set up??

Thanks

If you are putting it in a street car a cush mount is the go but for racing (with a tube chassis car) just put a saddle on the top rails that ties to the lugs on the block. The factory mount holes are large so I usually make a "top hat" bush to sleeve them down to 3/8" to match the most common tabs. You can also run front mount plates off the water pump holes, again to saddles and tabs on the top rail.

Thanks Roo, my car has a square tube chassis ,the engine is blown and injected and has a Doug Nash 4+1 tranny. It will more than likely a street car. Some racing.
