Finally started my blown Alky small block and the oil pressure is just not up to par, 40 psi cold, decreasing as it warms up :o. Clearances are .0035 on both rods and mains, (GRP aluminum rods). Who's making the best oil pumps and if you have a similar engine/clearances what pressure do you have?

NEED MORE INFO
.0025 on the mains
.0045 on the rods
Milodon oil pump w/ bolt on pick-up( not the style that replaces the bottom plate)

Sounds like you have another internal leak other than your bearing clearances. I run .0035 mains and .004 rods and have ran all different kinds of oil pumps on my blown SBC with zero oil pressure issues. This includes in my earlier years running a Melling M55 oil pump which is the cheap off the shelf you would install in a daily driver. I am currently running a billet pump wet sump cannot remember the brand name but not a Titan. I run Valvoline VR50 oil 70/80lbs at an idle

is the plug in the block under the rear main?

next step.....tomorrow, I"ll pull the pan :P, pump, etc. and see what I can see. Thanks for the replies!

What block are you running?

Ok, after research and disassembly, no visible defects found in oil pump or drive. No debris found in screen or pump (Melling HV). Apparently " thick oil may cause pressure relief valve to open prematurely". A new CVR pump is on it's way. I have a flat tappet cam/mech. lifters and have never ran restrictors except with roller cam/lefters. If I still have too much internal leakage, I'm thinking that restricting flow to the top end will be the next step. More delays ::) I'm ready to smell tire smoke. Thanks for your inputs.

FWIW
Most lifter mfg's say no restrictors
The bushed wheel lifters should Never have any oil restrictors per Mr John Callies
maker of Morels ( he invented those)

Oh yeah, Paul it's a Milodon aluminum block
