Title: front end lift range and wheelie bar?

Wondering what range you try to keep front end lift within. I know with my TA/D I tried to keep it  around 6" area,thats setting for wheelie bar.Now tire growth and actual lift make huge difference,just never could find crewmember quick enough to get reading 30' out.LMAO
 Doing some bored investigating to day on wheelie bar and looks like its about 3:1.1.5"=4.5,2=6 and so on,rough ratio but in ball park.  Now as for squat,tire growth and other factors ,not sure much I can do or calculate for those. Now If you old school tuner know a trick here,I am open for edumacation.

Also on wheelie bar design. Single design two upper and one lower. 1.25x.058 molly, I have a T brace about mid way.Its slip style with pin,so as can run with or remove pin to allow slipping and more flex.Top is slip with stops to allow some flexing. How much flex should I be looking for? I know complicated answer so ball parks are good. Just going over stuff while working on getting trailer  so car can get ride to track. Firm believer in no such thing as too much info,IF YOU PROCESS ACCORDINGLY .

I have found that more important than how high it lifts is how soon it lifts them. Getting all the weight on the rear tires by lifting the front is good unless you lift the wheels out of the beams before rolling out, inducing a red light. Maybe not so important on a .4 Pro Tree but I battled this phenomena all summer on a full tree. I think the short answer to your question would be "a few inches, plus or minus a few inches, as long as your car stays straight." And hooked up

Hopefully the slip joint in top rail about 2' behind axle centerline will help with pulling wheels out of beams. Guess I will just start where they are set and go from there.Bar hits with wheels 5" up and stars to unload rear tires around 8 to 9",so hopefully not get to that point.LOL Front end from motor forward had 4 slip joints If I feel need to loosen them up,but figure they are for after get baseline.

I have slip joints in chassis up rights. I have a 5/16 ss bolt that clamps chassis togather as to be normal rigid chassis. I can loosen bolts and allow chassis to slip.When totally loose and uprights and one I have in top rail at front I can lift center of car 7 to 8" before pulling front end off ground.This is to extreme of coarse. I can adjust to anywhere in between. I can loosen center two for a slight flex and got next set for more. I a not sure where limit is as far as actually help tune car to track,but I have option if want to use it.

Chris At the hit your car will squat down and the bar should hit and should lot lift the front end at all or very minimal . As soon as it comes up on the tire it will most likely hit the bar a second time as it drives the front end up ! On my car it's about 4 to 6 inches ! A little weight on the front will control that part ! I chalk my bar and it hits then skips a couple of feet then hits again ! At least that works for me your results might be different !

You have just described how we run my car.
I leave about 8" of chalk, then it goes away for about 18 inches, then leaves about 4 feet of chalk.  My wheel is about 2.5 inches off the ground.

Now if I can get someone to use go pro on starting line i can what its doing.Man I am going to miss my data recorders,have gotten spoiled using them on cars I help.Plus being in seat. actually mean being in less control for me. I am use to being outside watching every twitch and analyzing it while cars is still making turn off. Harder to go from crew chief to driver than reverse.
