It's been awhile but I was not allowed to run an nhra division race once because I didn't have the lower shield.

Ran RED for years.  Quit for awhile and when I decided to get back into racing I thought back about when I had the most fun and it was when I first started racing back in the 70's racing a fed.

Bruce,  not trying to be a smart ass but that sounds like a screwed up NHRA answer to the problem.  How can the bottles be mounted autside of the frame and the frame be first point of contact?

Electronics / Wiring a relay

OK guys,  I am electrically challenged and need help.  I have a Dedenbear 2 Stage Throttle Stop Controller (Model TSC-2A)  that I want to use as a shift timer to activate a shifter solonoid.  I can't figure out how to wire in the  30amp 5 pin relay. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Ken

Dusterdave.  That is why I run my loups horazontal  rather than vertical .

The way it was meant to be, until the mighty dollar got involved,  like all of drag racing.  Glad you guys are having fun and not spending your retirement fund racing.

Thanks for the response Bill.  Actually I think I have one of these that I took off of a super comp. car I bought quite awhile ago.  I will have to dig it out.  So you are saying I should be able to hook this to my trans brake button and it will activate the shifter solonoid.based on the amount of time I program into it and not by rpms?

WANT TO BUY.  Dedenbear ST1  to activate shifter by time rather than RPM.  Someone out there must have one they are not using and wants to get rid of.  Thanks

Tow Vehicles / Re: Towing in the pits

Never had an issue towing.  We use a strap to tow back to the pits after a run.  However, we do use a push bar and golf cart to push to the staging lanes. Just because that is the way they did it back then.
