Title: SLE leanout?
Post by: wideopen231 on February 22, 2019, 04:26:28 PM
 Spud,

I had post ear;ier about a leanout working with sle to help keep from dumping lots of fuel to motor while on 2 step. Ideally I want a timer controlling sle so it open closer to TB release,my currant delay box does not allow adjustment of sle time. I have leanout wired into tb so it opens when engaged and close upon release. Question I am wondering about. Is there a need for it to have gap in timing.like LO close slightly before the hit?

I am using nozzles to jet fuel so I can have finer adjustment, plus easier plumbing and have good stock of them from .030 to .085 which should be well past sizes needed. Figure starting with .050 and moving up till 60' changes or egt's are higher than like on stage.

I've not known anyone who's done that, but if you have a way and you're looking for every last little bit, it may find you something. Having the fuel go full-boogie a half a second or a second before the leave might certainly help in this case.
