Back in Sept. we broke a rod in my old Chrysler. Terrible oil starvation due to a crack in an internal
oil passage. So here we are 7 months later all back together and fresh with 6-71 & Hilborn 4-port.
Fired it up this morning and she sounds sweet. Big nostalgia race in Ardmore, OK this coming weekend.
Hope to get back in the game if it will just stop raining.

I knew your dad back in the day. He brought Richard Tharp over to Dallas from New Mexico. Tharp
drove my car for a while before he got famous. We raced the Anderson Bros. often. Great fun racing
fuel cars around Dallas in the 60's.

Spud...
Could you post a chart showing the true decimal diameters of Hilborn nozzles? I have (4) 104A
and I don't know how to calculate total nozzle area.
Thanks

Oldschool...

Car looks great but I would caution you about starting your FED career at Mokan. I love the place
but it is narrow, slick and short. No room for error. However...there is a big nostalgia race at Tulsa
coming up Sept. 19 & 20. First class race track, wide and long and tons of racers there to help if needed. We will be running in a bracket class just for FED,s and alterds. Good place to start. Also, Bruce
is right about unused brackets and snaggy things.
PS... Don't tell Carl Blanton I said any discouraging words. It's not too short for fast cars if you just
run the 1/8 mile. Narrow he can't fix.

Injected alcohol is the way to go...runs cool, easy to tune and very forgiving.
