Title: M5 Temp gain?
Post by: 421Altered on December 25, 2017, 06:39:07 PM
When tuning with M5, how much water temp gain in a 1/8th mile run should you look for?  Do you use the same 10-15* gain that you use for M1?

We just poured it in and ran--picked up about tenth and half in 1/8th which may speak to our then tune up but car loved it! After that wasted no time going to 10-15 % nitro and will never look back and for the money diff you may well do better adding nitro to plain alky

I agree with using small percentages of Nitro and it does build heat faster even with small doses of 2 or 3% but I run my stuff a little leaner at idle than some others do. With the right tune up on my car heat gained during a pass is minimal but I tune with O2 sensors and do not worry about water temp much. I would like to know how your car does on M5 or even 5% Nitro. xxxx I would like to know how your car runs after dyno.

Thanks to both replies.  As soon as I can get to the track, Ill let you know how it runs on M1 and M5, but, it may be late Jan or Feb. or later, hopefully not.
