I'm still here too. Working on my Jr Fuel engine. Trying to get the piston domes where they need to be.

I got a pair of Iskys with custom .750 wheels. They are prototypes. I looked at the difference in cam timing using a .750 wheel Isky verses a .850 wheel Jesel on the same cam. Duration measured at .013" lifter lift is 2 crank degrees more using the .850 wheel. Duration measured at .050" lifter lift looked to be the same between the two wheels. Total lift is the same. There is slightly more "area under the curve" with the bigger wheel. I'm a bit nervous about the Iskys during start up with high seat pressure (>400).

Bill, I got a free pair of custom red zone keyway lifters today. I have not gotten to play with them much yet but I believe that they are actually .936" diameter. Mine have a custom smaller wheel and they weigh 92 grams. I like the fact that they have no needle bearings and my understanding is that they have been extensively tested. Not sure if I am going to use them yet. See ya

Thanks for the info Bill. You're probably 150 cubic inches smaller than most of those other T/Ds and just as quick. Pretty cool. Was your car an A/ND at any time? New goal should be clear...6.80!

Thanks DF. Here is a picture of the block. Hopefully we haven't gone "over center" on the lightening!

Cool video Bill. What engine combination are you running and who is that in the red FED? Thanks for posting.

Hey Bill. Thanks for asking about the car. I'm presently still working on the final piston design which is the last "major" thing that needs finishing. The block has a bit over 30 lbs machined out of it.

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: Anybody here run a Jr. fuel car?

I've been collecting parts over the past few years to put a B/ND together. I should have the car out this summer. Frank Parks, Scott Parks and Brian Darcy have helped me out tremendously. I cannot say enough good things about them. The cars are exactly as described in the above posts...lots of titanium, magnesium, carbon fiber and ceramics. Mine is an SBC and will weigh 1360 wet, with ballast and me in it.

Hi everyone. My name is Chuck Waters. I started drag racing in 1976 with a big block Camaro, moved up to gas FEDs and on to NHRA Top Alcohol Dragsters in 1989. My best ET and speed is 5.97@233mph. I've been out of racing since 1995 but I should be back out again this year with a new Jr Fuel car.
