Title: 175'' build
Post by: ducky45356 on February 25, 2018, 06:45:58 AM
Started this build in August. Chassis is a Dragster Supply 175'' tacked together kit.  All other fabrication work has been done by me.

Yes I made the bell crank.  I have machined all the parts on the car.

Brake calipers either go in front or behind the rotor in order to bleed the air  from the system, unless you plan to remove them and rotate them in order to do that

I've often wondered if there was any different effect on the way a car handles / stops - or launches - by the location of the caliper mounting. I can't see one but to the rear seems most accessible.

Way too many other variables to influence the cars reaction then to what the placement of the brake caliper is. Leave that argument to the people up in the stands  Airheart calipers were mounted on the top (12 O-clock) because the bleed screws were at the top

so for tribute to my dad and his racing over the years. I had to get the rat from his old car painted on my dragster.

David built my chassis as well, he did very nice work, but I'm not sure he is in the business anymore.
