You mean you can actually runs something other than 9" ford rear end.. The 9'' and the 9  3/4 numbers are  actually 10" and 10 3/4" I forgot to add back for the 1" bar I had across jig while measuring. Pinion is 10 3/4".  Now you know why I make bad teacher,I talk  same way skip stages and figure they can figure out what I meant .Ground clearance is figured 4" at motor and 7" at rearend, 3 1/4" front end at nose.  The motor is set so oil pan is just barely above frame rails.

Wondering what most have for engine hieght. Chassis groung clearance would be nice also. I have mine set at 6.5" at rear axle, thats ground clearance. Enigne is  9" at front of crank and just under 9.75 at rear of engine ,this is from bottom rail. Thinking about changing rear to same as front. Front can only go down oil pump is almsot hitting frame now.  I have engine 50" out wanted 52 but when I first went to move out I had parts of frame already don that limited amount I could move it. Parks was very explicit about getting it out to 52".

Might need 2 lbs on nose of that one.  Now you see why Im building 225" with motor 51" out and fuel tanks and battery are on the nose. I'll move stuff back after some testing.I guess stupid me but seems easier to drive if thos round things up front touch the ground.

Tommy,

Its just bench racing with a key board. Come on in and lets talk racecars.

Spent my night making some new brackets, finishing front motor mounts, maching motor monts for les weight and drilling holes in few other parts. Think I took about 2 to 2.5 lbs off car but hey its weight that I don't have to haul down track. Shame I can't put my fat butt on mill or lathe and cut weight same way. Still working towards loosing another 30 to 40 lbs.Has to help balance car better 65 lbs. not hanging out back.

Hi Rooman,

I had 3 or 4 tell me I needed to call you to get car built. You must be doing something right. This car is being built to be fun and for me the build and tuning is more fun than the ride. Don't get wrong I love the fast ride and if its little out of shape arequires a driver not a light bulb( yea Ive been crewchief good amount) thats even better.

Im building about everything on car for cpl reason.Number one I want to.Number two its cheaper and I have almost no work going on. Number 3 its just cool IMO.

Heck I thought a few whap bows, then waaaaaaa and hitting shute while sitting in car making fake runs was just cheap pratice and the way to end long night of working on car.

Runniing glide for now,But there are two pedal clutchs on self sitting next to a titainium housing..I plan to mainly bracket and maybe some nostaligia stuff.

I dont have close up pics. but quick run down.

Top tube slips where it steps down in front of motor. I basicall sleaved top rail and then also sleaves the step down for about 6 inches. I then drilled thru all 4 and have bolt that I can use to make it ridgid mount. Diaganols are layed back 20* they are welded to 4" sleaves that are rose budded at bottom and the tops are free floating to allow top to slide..The diaganol between at that point also slip(or will). I have stops welded into both top rail and diagonals.  I will be adding limiters soon.

I was told that Parks has the uprights slipjointed buyt have no called him yet on it. If need be I can easily make  them so. Great part about top rail floating Is I can pull it out and rework the uprights if needed. Im setting everything so I can make the slipjoints rigid if I want in few seconds.
I'll try to get some pics tomorrow if I can get all the detail in them.

I had to try them lasty week so I broke all the clamps loose except front. I pulled top of chassis bottom bowed up 2" and top moved out 3/8 " I thought man this cool as he11.Then it took me 2 hrs to get it rejigged and dbl check every measurement and square it back up perfect.dang kid inside just will not stay away..

Might get pics by tomorrow after noon.
