Anyone know what diameter tire was typically used on mid to late 60's JF cars? Thanks.

The Southeast Nostalgia Drag Racing group is group of gasser, stocks, super stocks and muscle cars that have a 6 race schedule for 2017 centrally located in Georgia.  They are looking to expand their group to include FED's and altereds and have extended an invitation to any an all in the southeast to join in the fun!!  They would like to have at least 6 FED's/alts show up at each of their events to make the fan experience more complete.

They have 2 events at Atlanta Dragway, 2 at Silver Dollar Raceway and 2 at US 19 Dragway for this coming year, with the first event being the SNDR NOSTALGIA INVITATIONAL DRAGS on March 25th at Silver Dollar Racway in Reynolds GA.  I believe the entry fee is only $20 and gates open at 9 AM .

This is not real formal race as far as the FED's/alts go.  Simply pair up and make passes against each other. No trophies, no money.  Just go out and have fun.

Please check out the SNDR Facebook page for more info on their group.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/467470370117531/

I got my 65 Woody JF 7.50 cert this week.
Can't wait to get it on the track.  Next step is making the stacks for the injection......

New to the forums.  Been running a street legal blown altered for a few years, but just picked up we believe is a 137" Woody jr fuel chassis from the mid 60's....but has been updated for 7.50 cert.

Anywhoo.......I may have to make a new seat to sit me a little further down.  The current pan is pop riveted to the upper frame tube and one tube on each side at the fwd edge.

Will this pass tech at an NHRA track?  If not, what constitutes a "securely mounted" seat?  I really couldn't find much in the NHRA rules for FED's.  Seemed it was more meant for door cars and such.  Thanks.
