Yes, Bullet racing cams and another company were together at PRI. Very helpfully. But I think they are in the New Orleans area. I can forward more info when I get back home.
Try Brendan Murray also, he moves a bunch of stuff.

Are you on Facebook? 392 Hemi racing group. Shayne Stewart had one for sale.
At the PRI show bullet racing was a favorite, they raced these and seem knowledgeable.
If you have the time in LA drop in to Isky, he's a hoot.

If you don't mind I would love to meet up at Bakersfield. I'm  there all weekend, Peter

Roo Man's Room / Re: suggestions for drive shaft protection
« on: October 31, 2017, 06:25:37 PM »
after looking at the cowl Roo is talking about it got me thinking. The light aluminum may keep pant cuffs from getting caught up but that's about all.
I went with Neil and Parks, they have a cone that has the 5 bolt flange and they weld an aluminum pipe to it. they use a .125 and a .250 dia by I believe 4 inch. the outside of the .250 is then turned down so one slides over the other to be able to tighten the shaft clamps.  The front mount is still undecided but I was told not to mount it to the chassis, the trans is a better choice due to movement. there is not a lot of clearance on the couplers.
It all sounds good but it is in transit so until I have it hands on I am unable to get photos.

Spud Miller's Cave / Re: Hilborn stack idle problems

I am no expert but what gauges are you checking leakdown with? Automotive style or a set from spud or? Some automotive sets will give readings opposite the way you want. Milking seems to be your big problem.

That is cool!   It looks like the dragster, but it was 35 years ago. All I remember is the nice blue colour. I think it had an sbc ?  But the tree in centre of the road is what I remember best!  We tried that idea with the police in Northern ont and were told
NO WAY!

I was in Grande Prairie in the eighties, we would come over to watch the races somewhere between Dawson creek and Fort St John. The RCMP would close and detour regular traffic off the highway . the local club would put up a christmas tree on the centre line then everyone ran and waited to return in an orderly single file. They even had a bleacher section off to the side of the road . There was one fed about 180" and one early funny car. Nostalgia racing before it was popular! The rest had doors .
I doubt you can still do that today, but it was enough to hook me!
