Gassers / Re: How many of you guys run ANRA?
« on: February 13, 2020, 11:13:53 AM »
I've been running ANRA for 14 years or so.  Great group.  Butch is top notch.

I started there in HR, then D/G, then C/G, then bought a dragster in 08, and have been in NE/1 since.

With my pedal clutch I burn .005-.007 I know I have burnt more than that but my shift light would stay on... just add some weight to your arms not sure how many grams you currently have on your clutch but figure that out and go from there

For comparison, our A/F (BAD) pedal clutch car wore .003-.005 per pass. Closer to .005.

I ran mine off the trigger.   if it can fire a 2 step, it's counting, so you can run the light off it too

Lblowback containment devices

I've never ran them, but i'm adding them for piece of mind.  Car doesn't 60' hard, and i've never had an issue with motor plates.

Got my trans, steering, etc all reinstalled yesterday.  Waiting on zoomies to come back from getting coated, then we'll fire it up and do a systems check.

Almost race time.

I think they're discussing having a floor in so you don't have to wear a -15 suit.  if you have a floor, (and are not blown), you can "get away" with a -5 suit.

i build a pin holder under my front nose.  We drop the pin thru the nose, into it's hole and away we go.  i do not like pulling from the front axle at all. I know it was done for years that way, but i don't like it.

I gave Ben Conant a call @ DJ, told them how long i wanted it, how wide at the top & how wide at the bottom.  A couple days later a bitchen net showed up in a box.  :)  great service.

In doing that you just increased your end play in your trans .100" too.  I'm not a trans guy, not sure what that will affect.

How much line pressure? i've seen over 275 and not have a gasket problem. As a matter of fact, i've never seen a gasket problem.

Add me to the "coupler" crowd.  I wouldn't sit on a u-joint.  Make sure it is in alignment, and put a coupler in it.
