Spud Miller's Cave / A/fuel setup
« on: January 01, 2014, 08:58:28 AM »
 Spud,

Wonder what I would need for good A/fuel setup.I have Hemi short blocks that I ran in TA/D all good stuff. Heads I have 2 sets of buildable BAE fuel style(not fat head) Have set of msd mag 12's(wish 44's). Main question trans. Can it be setup to work with glide. I have clutch setups ,just sold trick titainium cam(dumb___) no lenco parts.Chassis is built to 2.2c specs so I should be good there.

Trans ,pump size and cost for you to setup a system for it.If I decide to set one up it would be for full amount allowed by rules. Just Idea Im kicking around.Hnave some 1200 pumps I can sale or trade off for smaller one that fits within the rules.

Might look inot getting some old ones converted. I have a set of 16x16 that I talked with weld about getting cut and converted to 15x 14 dbl beadlocks.Price was 1000 bucks if they can do it.Was told If I would ship them they could tell me.I think Im going to ship one and if do able I will ship other wheel, have to check cost of one vs two. I figure 1000 bucks is better than spending 1400 to 2000 for new ones and used ones in this size are really hard to find.

9 years of alky funny and dragster and used pedal without either. Was mounted on stud the was thru tube with clutch pedal welded to it.Worked fine. Question how much money do you want to spend and do you need the bearing piece. I'm Sure its nice and super smooth.

with mine you can have p-r-n 1-2 or p-r-n-2-1  the pattern is determined by valve body and trans linkage not shifter inn this case. Mine will be p r n 2 1 so I caN USE SHIFT SOLENOD  for 1-2 shift. For burn out Ill just push it into 2nd and hammer it,stop tist push twist push and will be in reverse.

On mine you have to twist it to go to netural 1st to second is just straight slot.Twist and push forward for netural, twist again push forward for reverse twist oppisite and push while using foot assist that mount on trans for park.If I have to I can add flip lever for lockout. Not cocerned about neutral safety switch never had one and never been asked by tech about it.
