Found another digger her in quebec that is a rear engine hard tail unit and is et up for a mopar, big bonus for me as i am a mopar nut. It,s being sold as a rolling chassis,no motor or tranny/glide.So it,s a complete car and possible trailer for under 5000$ canadian/4000$us.So it,s off for a 2.75 hour drive to check out the car and I am bringing cash,so wish me luck,as the owner wants it gone.Scott/mrmopartech

There was one for sale in Alberta not long ago. Blown
BBF I think. Turn key for 13,000 I think.

I ran into a racer that killed his motor on the burn-out in Bakersfield and the started banned the racer from the track because he could not get out of the car by himself. Don't buy/ build cars that are too small for the drivers.
-
I'll bet he could have gotten out if the sucker was on fire. :o

Update on the diger sale.Went to outside of Quebec city to check out the car,3.5 hours of driving ,but we got there, out there in the middle of cow country.the car is in a barn for 2 years, motor and tranny still in it and no body has come to see it.We check out the car, chassis, metal work and al the vital things to check.Thecar is being sold as a roller, pro star funny car rims and the same in the front, all guages and fuel system parts,9 inch ford diff, wilwood brakes,4.56 gears, rear T/F rear wing and front wing on nose cone,21 inch inside frame for the driver,I slip in with no issue, and plenty of room. All the electrics are there, with rad, electric water pump, battery, etc running car minus motor and glide, but will leave the mid plate,as a 452/512 motor goes back in.The whole car for 3800$canadian.Now it,s time to sell al the intakes and carbs and all the rare mopar parts to make room for the neww digger I just bought.Winter is coming and time to clean this car up and set it up for the summer and car shows,Scott Preston/mrmopartech

Before you do anything, Make sure it has a current SFI chassis tag on it or at least an expired one.(no changes in chassis spec in years) If it does not (never had one) then hold off and have it inspected by NHRA before you buy.Never trust the seller!!!! You may be buying yourself trouble
-
NEVER trust a seller! A current SFI cert is a must. Unless you are ready to rebuild a chassis.

NEVER trust a seller! A current SFI cert is a must. Unless you are ready to rebuild a chassis.
As stated, the SFI cert can be expired, since there have been no changes to it the last 15 years, so it was previously looked at and deamed raceable. Any sale should come with the provision of the frame being able to cert, unless the price is really low and one is buying it for parts. Make the condition of sale the seller provides the new cert or the cert paper listing issues preventing cert. Minor issues like helmet bars can be a negociated, Frame being too thin or too small in dia are a reason to walk away
