Thanks fellows for the responses. I am almost done with the roller. I got a starter tune up off of Alkydigger website. I know where to go from there. Thanks again.

Thanks for giving me the scoop on why I need a secondary idle crcuit to bleed the excess pressure after burn out. All the fuel injection systems I have dealt with have always had a secondary. I will have to get a spool with a hole in it, the one Hilborn sent me does not. Do you have a starting tune up that I can use? Hilborn promised me one if I bought their parts, turns out they won't return emails since Holley bought them. I wanted to see today how long I could stay on hold ---> 1-1/2 hours with no signs of anyone answering. I am building a blower motor and there is more info on the net about it than this stack injection system.

Alot of good information. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for the responses. I would send the system in but Hilborn and FIE won't return messages or emails. What I am wondering is why I don't have a secondary idle circuit. When I talked to Hilborn when buying the parts he said that I don't need a secondary poppet and I always thought I did but that was on nitro. I guess with methanol I wont be burning as much fuel vs nitro.

Hi, I am trying to get info on Hilborn Stack Injection on a SBC with methanol. The barrel valve I have doesn't have a idle circuit bypass on it, Hilborn said that I did not need one. Will this system idle without the bypass? I would also like to know what to set my main bypass at and what pill. Thank you.

I decided to go with 29.5 x 10.5-15W. I needed to figure out what tire I am going to run so I can finalize the chassis. Thanks for responding.

There is some cool stuff going on there in that picture. I am putting the motor mount brackets on last night and again tonight. I'll have some pictures after that. I went the two tab route.

I have been using N&P for a lot of parts and blueprint and I like both of them. I always feel like I am bugging people asking questions lol. I do like this bench racing that we are doing to get this thing built. I want to do something really cool on the very front like an eagle beak out of tubing. I split a 1-5/8 tube and welding it to the ends of my main frame rails and then lay the tube front axle in that half tube and weld it up. Then do the beak in front of that and use the beak as a tow hook. Not sure how I woud make that happen. Just an idea.

Hey Paul, Do you mean a tab from top to bottom? I am puttting an upright at the mid motor plate. I could put a tab top, middle and bottom. What do you think?

Hi, I have a 350 SBC to put in my FED. The problem is that I was going to use nitro as the fuel so I bought flat top pistons. Now I am going to use alcohol. I need to raise my compression ratio for the alcohol. What is the best way to raise compression on the engine and still use the flat tops? Thank you.

Ok Thanks for the reply. I am going to go ahead and attach it at the bottom. The chassis is moving along pretty good, trying to get it done before the heat of summer hits. Attaching the front axle today and finish the K. I am just one 22" piece of 1-1/4 short to finish the K member, not sure the best place to get it. Years ago I used the Chassis Shop, probably use them again for that one piece among other parts. My sticking point now is how long to make my 9" housing and figure out how long the axles should be. My wheels have 4 back spacing. Jon is going to help me pick out a tire today.

Jon, I sure appereciate you wanting to help. I know what to use. I just love my front wheels and tires that you sold me. Don't know if you remember them (Generation Pro Wheel Three), they have chrome hubs. They're going to look nice on the car. I will give you a call today to get the slicks. I ran out of 1-1/4 .058 and I need one more 23" piece for my K member unless I can use 1-1/8 for the K.

I am interested in what you have to say about your FED. I love hearing dragster stories. Coolest drag car ever...

I read that putting the motor plate upright right next to mid plate will help seal the cockpit from fire. So it is ok to attach the bottom of the plate to the lower frame rail?
