Title: starting point leanout
Post by: wideopen231 on October 15, 2018, 04:20:37 PM
Spud,

Have a edumactated guess of starting point for leanout thats open during stage with SLE and 2 step. 6.85 gpm @100# DSR pump,Enderle K style BV,130 main .036 nozzles  using electric over air solenoid. 482 ci hemi close to 1000 hp. My guess is .070 or close. Oh yea stage rpm 4200 starting point.

I am curious why are your running an SLE and 2-step?

You might end up at a .070 but I sure wouldn't start there. A .060 should be safe and then lean from there.

A .060 - .070 sound awfully big.  Are they that size because the RPM is low.

sle allows me to throw it wideopen on first or second bulb and two step allows it to come to set point unti trans brake is released by delay box. Not sure How I am going to like sle as I have always just timed it to hit throttle and allow to maybe bump two step before leaving but not on it for full 1.1-- seconds before hitting tires. I know to average folks 1.1 seconds sounds like nothing but in our world its about same as cpl days.

My delay box allows me to stage with my foot to floor and I had it set to put it on the 2 step .50 sec before the brake release.
