I make and sell two chute cable mounts one works at the cable to chassis location and one attaches the cable end to the chute pack flap. Just don't attach it to the bottom flap ,it could hinder the pop chute deployment. call Don at 214-327-7312

I hope you are going to weld a tube in front of the mount plates. They need to be welded completely on one side and skip welded 1" skip welds on the other.

Tony Casarez and I grafted the front half of this car to a back half that Paul Pritchet crashed also at Green Vally. About four years ago Mike Milsap sold the car to somebody from up north ,like Minnesota or so. Tony's boys may have more shots of the car, look on face book under Tony Casarez race cars.
I would be very interested in recreating this car and the body .

Send me the pictures we talked about today and I will take a look at them. As far as I know Bobby never built a tube chassis car. Scorpion 1 thru 4 were aluminum channel , he did build an aluminum channel car for a mail man but it was never finished. The Scorpion V was built by Conny Swingel at Garlit's shop as a Garlits chassis. Scorpion VI was built by Henry(Moose) Schroder of T Bar chassis.

There is probably no such thing as prints on an individual car. If you have photos from the side that is all you can work with. That's how I do most the cars I have built. Nobody else knows what is under the body work. Most recreations are just good representations and that's all they need to be. http://www.donrossfab.com/

Hoss:
I hope you did not take that first note wrong. I did not think about a car that is just out of cert.
Mike can build or fix you a very nice car if you can get him to do it. and he is in your back yard.
