Roo Man's Room / Killer Tire shake Need Help.
« on: August 10, 2015, 06:49:13 AM »
My friend has a former tf 2001 sterling chassis dragster he has raced the car for several years , this season he stepped up his engine program using a blown bbc 496 inch engine the car has always had a problem with tire shake but this year has been horrible. he runs a large rear tire set up, I will get the exact size. with the prior engine he ran mid 6's with a top speed of 210mph the car has always run a big block chevy. any idea on thing we could try or look for. the car looks like the tire rolls over its self and has bent and broken the wheelie bar in the past. the tire shake is so violent that it has damaged the car on several past runs. there is no driving through the shake. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Front Engine Dragsters / Support equipment to field a vintage style fed..
« on: December 12, 2014, 04:13:46 AM »
This spring will be my fist attempt at fielding and driving my vintage style front engine dragster. I have raced most of my life from go carts to eastern dirt modifieds and have not raced competitively since 2004 looking to stock my trailer with support equipment and spares. most of the tracks I will race are 3+ hours from home.  What do you guys bring and what do you outfit your trailers with generator compressor drill press etc. and what spares for the car. My modified due to wheel to wheel racing  had almost a second car in spares minus the chassis.. Im trying to be organized and prepared. Thanks.

« on: July 23, 2014, 10:23:39 AM »
Well the agent orange dragster is done lettered  and running. About a week ago i dislocated my right shoulder which has been repaired once before from a dirt modified crash 20 years ago. So reconstructive surgery on tuesday and a long recovery going to mothball the car until next season. Looking forward to going to the chrr in the fall and the nostalgia drags at englishtown this weekend . should be able to finish my alcohol injected car over the winter.

I just built a front wing for my fed. its 16 wide by 10.5 deep what is the ideal placement on the front of the car. looking at other cars some are mounted high others are low close to front axle and chassis. also what is a good angle.
