Title: Blowers
Post by: Aludigger18 on August 12, 2020, 08:47:33 AM
Anyone that runs TBS blower on the fed?
Thinking of buy one for my fed.
Are they making good boost?
Would like to have a high helix 14/71 but I can see that alkydigger has a 10/71 that makes incredible boost over 7500 rpm.
I run my engine up to 9000 rpm bb chevy

Have you looked at the nostalgie specific  blowers. From what I have heard some are getting 42 lbs with 6-71a. If so that is impressive thats what we where getting out of 14-71 hi helix back in mid 90's at 54% od. 6-71 has to take less power to spin which means more power to flywheel. Also do not get caught up on boost numbers alone few thing other than airflow effect the number.

I've had some rough cust service with TBS in the past.  I rather deal with Brad Littlefield.  I run a Littlefield basic 671 on my NE1 (7.60) dragster.
