Is an older Super Mag V that was souped up to 7+ amps with dual capacitors and has the old MSD cap adapter worth running.

It would need the rotation changed for my application and I assume it has the older points.

 Yup, those are fantastic...especially when used with the BIG coil and the severe-duty points.
