Thanks Pallidin, The list confirms that my altered was built by S&W which I already knew. Now I can prove to a friend that his altered was also built by S&W .I know that my car was built in 1973 with an Opel GT body with a 96" WB. I still have the body but have moth balled that for a T bucket ,makes it a one man operation at the track. Is there any way to find out what the tubing specs were for those early years ?I know mine will not cert because fo a couple of diagonals and  uprights .

I'm sure there's a couple people here who can help with that.  Or maybe call S&W and tell them what you have and if they have any records of the car.  I'm guessing they can tell you how they built the chassis in 1973 and what size tubing was used back then.

Great suggestion, Don, Post some pictures of the body (need help send them to me and I'll put them up for you), I'm sure there are people interested.

Have contacted  Scott at S&W and he told me that the chassis should cert.as is, but the diagonal diameters are under size. So I don't think he know .

In that case have a NHRA or IHRA tech offical take a look and see what you have.  That way you know where to start.  Maybe post a couple of photos here and see if someone can tell you what you're working with.

I like it. Reminds me of the Glen Way's Ground Shaker Jr.  IMO I'd put on a set of zoomies.
I agree about the zoomies. Motor needs to come up a ways also.
