Put a couple of vents in it in front of the engine pan to let air out from between the ground and bottom of frame.  That should help prevent all that flat surface becoming a wing should the car pick up the front end at speed.

It's been kind of slow here so I thought I'd post a photo of my roadster, it's almost done. Will put the distributor in tomorrow along with the plugs and wires, put the zoomies on then all that's left before firing it up next week is some fab work in the drivers compartment and bleed the brakes. It's about time:)

Nothing on this section for nearly two years? Ok, I'll bite.
First event of our season is 4 weeks away, motor is still at the shop after a freshen up, should be able to collect in 4 days. We had some extra tubes put in the roll cage & due to crazy circumstances only got the chassis back last week.
So, today I fitted front wheels, brakes, fitted new seals to shutoff valve & barrel valve & re-engineered the throttle pedal.
The driver finished changing the rearend gears, we will be re-assembling the axle tomorrow I hope.

So we have got loaded up ready to tow to the 'Dragstalgia' event at Santa Pod, UK. After fixing an engine problem we discovered two gearbox issues, both now fixed & we're ready to rock.

Today the driver & I added some more padding to the roll cage so that after the hit he is still looking down the track & not at the sky.

Also I treated the slicks with 'Grip' softener, at the last event there was not much traction & we are still looking to run our first 7 next weekend.

Aaaaaand then I found some cracks in both axle tubes near the ends. Driver is taking car away tomorrow to get a proper welder buddy & fellow racer to weld it up on Thursday.

Assuming that's fixed, we are towing to the track either Thursday pm or Friday am. RWYB on Friday, our class is running Saturday & Sunday at the NSRA 'Hot Rod Drags' at Santa Pod.

I might even get to do my first burnout / trundle down the track on Friday if I can prise the driver out of the seat & convince him I'm not going to break it.
