Spent my night making some new brackets, finishing front motor mounts, maching motor monts for les weight and drilling holes in few other parts. Think I took about 2 to 2.5 lbs off car but hey its weight that I don't have to haul down track. Shame I can't put my fat butt on mill or lathe and cut weight same way. Still working towards loosing another 30 to 40 lbs.Has to help balance car better 65 lbs. not hanging out back.

It does not feel like we made much progress this weekend. Tom was over and so were both of my sons. Number one son stayed behind the camera so I have no pictures of him, but I did get a picture of the number two son.

We started like this

and ended like this

In between those two the blower bag is back from DJ so we the blower bag back on with the modifications made by DJ it fits now.

Installed the rear restraint strap bracket.

Made a bracket to hold the fill can for the coolant system

it came out pretty nice

There is a complete update on my web site at this link
http://www.leverfamilysite.com/2010_Front_Engine_Dragster_Week_2013_02_02.htm

and the complete build from the first tube cut to now can be seen here
http://www.leverfamilysite.com/2010_Front_Engine_Dragster_Root.htm

along with some u-tube videos of it running down the track

I looked at it and tried to decied what is the next task to address to get the Blower Install done.

I inally got around to sending some parts off the be anodized Red.   Got a new 358" Short block sittng there, and a New Hilborn injection, but seems like no time to work on it.  when I dohave time, the wfe says I don't have time .
TIME  is obviously scarce around my house.

All kinds of little machining.

Made spud ends for my tie rod, or thread adapters/whatever. Had to machine a little spacer ring because the hub I got from good vibes has a 2" O.D. while this blower pulley I got off ebay has a 2.250" I.D.

Also, the QC on my enderle timing cover was a little sketchy.  Had to enlarge the spot faces for the bolts and deburr the rear of the holes.

Pushrods come tomorrow.  Dropping off my cylinder heads in the morning to get the valve seats/valve angles checked.  Hope to have the entire longblock wrapped up this weekend.

Buickfed, suggestion....get rid of the alternator and maybe a remote w/p unless you're gonna run alky. Then scrap the w/p too. :P

If you use alot of nitro, or if you don't use any at all, don't read this : )
I plan on trying some nitro this year and checked with our local supplier and they only sells it in drums.  I don't need a whole drum nor do I want 55 gallons sitting around in my garage.  I checked around and found some.  Got it smoothly, now I'm a happy camper.  Here's current link:

(ebay #2008 6701 4356)  or click on link.........

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Torco-Nitro-race-fuel-5-Gal-pail-Torco-100-Nitromethane-/200867014356?hash=item2ec49b66d4&item=200867014356&pt=Race_Car_Parts&vxp=mtr#ht_255wt_1129

p.s.  I ran this by Glenn first, since it's an ad.  Glenn said it was okay to post, I wasn't sure, so better to ask first.  Okay, I can check nitromethane off my to do list.
