Matt,

 what do you use to seal head studs in a steel block alum heads, sbc

can not get them to seal leaking on both sides

Teflon paste or permatex sticky brown goo

ARP sales their own product just for this but we have used Teflon paste as Bruce mentions and it works great we just use the Teflon paste on the bottom into the block than continue to use the lube on top

The sticky brown permatex works the best . Nasty stuff to get off your hands !
