Suitable battery
« on: October 19, 2015, 06:31:03 PM »
Im looking at purchasing a rock 16 volt 3 post battery for my blown 392 alcohol injected topolino altered. Anyone used this type of battery. I would rather start car from inside not with remote unit, engine should produce between 800 - 1000 hp. Battery can only be mounted behind driver as there is no room anywhere else. What does others think / use. Thanks Glen

I have customers that have used 16V battery systems. Spins the engine over nice. The draw back is the cost of the battery as well as the charger.
The guys that used them went back to 12V after the battery or the charger needed replacement.

I personally would install 2 Odyssey PC640 and just put 24 volts to the starter these batteries are small enough that you could mount them almost any where
