Bellypan/ floor pan
« on: October 01, 2015, 02:28:28 PM »
Seems I read post here about even with belly pan you had to have bars for feet or a floor pan. Can't find it now that I'm looking for it. Exactly what is required as far as bars.I have diaganols that cross right at braks and throttle. Could not find anything in my copy of SFI spec.Have belly pan now.

It is not part of the SFI spec but a NHRA rule. Basically is says that the driver's feet can not rest on the belly pan. How you achieve that is up to you. In some of my cars the diagonals  do the job and others  with elevated pedals have  foot rests under the pedal area.
