Gotta run the garage is calling me.

Post somthing from the garage, the "What did you do today" in the Gasser thread is pretty thin, it is almost like no one is working on Gassers?

I have a Grasser Racing Serries meeting today at 1

I think the gasses are so far and few between beacuse of their being so hard to find a good one and so costly to build one. I have a friend building a more pro street leven willys, I will toss it in there.

My friend Mike Sietsma built this 4 years ago and is a regular at Picton Airfield. He said he wanted to capture the 1960s style gasser.
Power is a 331 Chrysler hemi, Isky cam , 650 Holley  coupled to a Volare overdrive 4 speed twisting a 4.10 in a 57 Ford 9 inch.
Car runs as it would have in the sixties. Not an old car with a modern KILLER but built as it would have been back then. Why? Because that is how Mike wants it.
Don
PS for photos of Mike and his gasser with Bob Beazer see Sean's Project, Facebok.
SR Dragster, because old people need to have fun too!

 few more from the closet

Hard to decide if this would be a gasser or an altered class car.

This car was the cleanest car on the strip, you could eat off any part of this thing.

I love this picture I had it blown to poster size for my man cave.

A perfect description of drag racing back in the day. People just hanging out, most were friends with the same goal of going faster, having a stress free day.
