Seat Buckets / Pans
« on: October 08, 2014, 07:10:17 AM »
Anyone got suggestions on a seat bucket ?  My current set up is a 2mm aluminium base and 1mm seat back dzus'd and rolled over the top rail.   The seat "works" as is, however unless sitting bolt upright, it doesn't support my lower back.  It fits the car but is far from ergonomic ?

You could do a pour in expanding foam liner, the kits are for just this type of fix.

Yup, time to pour a seat.

Or gain a lot of weight. :)

I had similar issue. But my car has a seat cover. I used a fairly dense foam and a sharp knife. Carved up some pieces to support my lower back. And tucked them behind the cover.

I poured a seat bottom and it was best thing I ever did--car is super comfortable--great part is I bought way too big a por kit and now have more than enough fopr another seat bottom--call me I will give you a deal on it!! 704 244 6649
I made my bottom from .125 thick, then normal seat pan, then poured bottom--I love it!
